DEPUTY PRINCIPAL

Due to the promotion of our current Deputy Principal, Peter Cooper, to Principal we are now seeking an exceptional Deputy whose leadership skills, strategic vision and sound management will enhance the current success and position of the College and allow it to meet the challenges of the future.

We are seeking someone with drive, energy and enthusiasm and with management experience gained in a college or secondary school with a large sixth form, to help shape the next stage of the College’s development. The College will provide a stimulating, supportive and exciting environment in which to further your career and contribute to the strategic development of an outstanding College.

The skills and experience of other members of the College Senior Management Team enable us to be flexible about the range of responsibilities which will be attached to the Deputy Principal’s job description. The role will therefore suit applicants with curriculum and quality and/or student support specialisms. Salary: Up to £70,000

Deputy Principal Job Description and Specification

TEACHER OF DRAMA AND THEATRE STUDIES

To start as soon as possible.

Part time: 0.2 to 0.6

We require a qualified teacher to deliver A level Drama and Theatre Studies lessons with the possibility of delivering some lessons for the BTEC National Certificate in Performing Arts (Musical Theatre). The ideal candidate will have experience delivering Edexcel's A level Drama and Theatre Studies specification and be aware of the changes in the new linear specification (2016). Qualified teachers who also have the practical expertise to teach acting, singing and dance as part of the Edexcel BTEC Performing Arts specification would also be welcome to apply.

Salary £22,709 - £37,984 (Sixth Form Colleges Salary Scale)

ACTING COACH FOR PERFORMING ARTS ACADEMY

To start as soon as possible

5 - 8 hours per week term time only

£18.64 per hour

Work will involve one-to-one acting coaching and small group work to improve acting skills.  The successful candidate will prepare students for auditions for Drama Schools and National Youth Theatre as well as Trinity Guildhall or LAMDA qualifications. Experience of successfully delivering one of these qualifications would be ideal but the successful candidate will have a degree or similar in Theatre, Acting, Directing and/or Drama Teaching and experience of performance outside educational settings either as an actor or as a director accustomed to working closely with actors.
