Dance
This is a two year Dance course which is equivalent to one A Level, with the same amount of UCAS points for university or further education.
BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate in Performance (Dance) Equivalent to one A Level
This is a vocational training course recognised by UCAS for those thinking about going on to study Dance, Drama, Acting or Musical Theatre at conservatories but also has the academic rigour needed for a range of university courses in other subjects. This course can be combined with any course at the college.
Students who study Dance go on to study a wide range of subjects after college as it develops many transferable skills. It is a valuable qualification for students who are interested in developing their understanding of dance to a higher level as they want to pursue it as a career as well as students who want A Level 3 qualification in a subject they love but want to pursue a range of alternative careers after leaving college.

What does the course involve?

What I like best about Dance is the fact that the course is so varied. There are units where you are marked on your performance skills as an individual and elements where you can work as a group to create a group piece out of the skills you have worked on throughout the two years.
