What do I have to do?
- Taught in 2 lessons per week this qualification is the equivalent to an AS level and carries UCAS points.
- It is assessed via 1 exam which covers 50% of the course content and is 1 hour 15 minutes. There is also an opportunity to resit the exam.
- The other 50% of the course is assessed via an assignment.
What will I learn?
- Fundamentals of sustainability: Inter-relationships of the three pillars of sustainability (environmental sustainability, economic sustainability, and social sustainability).
- Sustainability in practice: Practice’s organisations are adopting to become more sustainable and the technologies that are being used. Students will also learn research methodologies and how to analyse data and draw conclusions. Students will use this knowledge and understanding to investigate a real organisation’s practices and recommended how they can become more sustainable.

Entry Requirements
There are no specified entry requirements for this course as of yet. Basic college entry requirements includes at least
5 GCSEs at grades 9-4 or A*-C, including English Language.
Trips
Trips include: The Elan Valley, a Zoo, local rivers and nature reserves and a large farm. Prices vary from free to £30.
There is also an optional residential trip to Arran, which costs approximately £600.
