In January 2023, just over a year after being diagnosed with autism, Lily Morgan, a passionate advocate for inclusion and former Hereford Sixth Form College student, launched Neurodiversity in Sport. This initiative is dedicated to supporting neurodiverse individuals and promoting inclusivity within the sporting world. During her time at college, Lily studied Sport and Exercise Science and Diploma in Sporting Excellence.

Through Neurodiversity in Sport, Lily offers one-to-one sessions tailored to neurodiverse individuals, group activities within Learning Resource bases, and monthly webinars exploring various aspects of neurodiversity. Additionally, she collaborates with sports organizations, hosting webinars that provide valuable insights on how to best support neurodiverse athletes, enabling them to thrive in their sporting pursuits.

Using social media platforms, Lily shares personal experiences and empowers others to do the same, fostering a community that celebrates differences as strengths. The initiative aims to ensure that no one feels isolated in their challenges while advocating for a more inclusive and supportive environment for neurodiverse individuals.

In October, Lily was invited to speak at the UK’s No. 1 Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Summit in London, highlighting the importance of embracing neurodiversity in sports. Most recently she was honoured with the Youth Sport Trust 2024 Young Activist of the Year award, recognizing the incredible impact of this work.

Lily’s efforts continue to inspire and drive change, proving that inclusivity strengthens the sporting community and beyond.
