The College Rugby 1st XV defeated Loughborough College 31 – 14 on Wednesday 15th February to secure the Midlands Men’s Rugby League 1 title.
The College Rugby Academy has been highly competitive in this League over the last decade, having secured five previous titles. With two years missing due to Covid, the Rugby Academy have managed a comprehensive six League titles from a possible eight.
The team focus now shifts to the England College Rugby (ECRFU) National Cup, where the team have progressed to the last 16. HSFC are the current cup holders, having won the competition last year in its inaugural year. The team have also got Rosslyn Park 7s and the AOC Championships on the horizon in March and April.
An excellent end to the term for the team who are now feeling buoyant for upcoming fixtures.
