Social Development Students Enjoy Early Years Play With Popcat

Students studying Level 2 Social Development recently experienced an Early Years play session with Cherie who runs a local Popcat's Music Time playgroup.
The social development of children and the importance of play is a key area covered in the course. Popcat's sessions cover all 7 areas of learning with the Early Years Foundation Stage, so is a perfect example for students to learn from. Cherie also talked about the drink and fruit snack children are given after the play session and how important early years nutrition is, another key area of the course.
Cherie brought her parachute, bubble machine, lights and Popcat the puppet, who greeted all of the students as if they were a child attending a Popcat session! Cherie described how she presents each section of the session and explained how elements contribute to children's development.
