Enrichment lead Marco Martinelli with MP Jesse Norman and student Cameron PK.

On 6 February, HSFC welcomed Hereford South MP Jesse Norman for a session with students studying Politics, Law, Sociology and Citizenship. The visit focused on the role of the UK Parliament at Westminster.

He gave a brief historical overview and discussed how Parliament has developed over time, including the roles of the House of Commons and the House of Lords. He also shared perspectives on how the two chambers operate and the different functions they perform.

Students then took part in a Q&A, asking questions about current parliamentary issues and debates, including the role of the Lords Spiritual and how political parties and newer movements can influence public discussion and representation.

HSFC thanks Jesse Norman for visiting and for taking the time to speak with students.
