First year dance students working with 2Faced Dance

The first year dance students are feeling inspired following recent workshops with local dance maestros 2Faced Dance. So far, students have enjoyed 2 full day workshops – a ‘day in the life of a professional dancer’ and “an introduction to contemporary dance”.

During the workshops, students have experienced a full day as a company member taking part in company class, learning invigorating techniques alongside industry professionals and working on choreography. Students learnt two pieces of the 2Faced repertoire and then watched the team in their rehearsal process.

Dance teacher Kim Owen said: “This was such a valuable experience. The students have gained insightful skills and understanding of what it takes to be a successful contemporary dancer, but more importantly, they have built their personable transferable skills such as resilience, communication and teamwork.”
